The Child Fatality Review Committee is a citywide collaborative established for the purpose of conducting retrospective examinations of the circumstances surrounding the deaths of infants, child and youth who were residents of the District of Columbia.  The primary goals are to identify risk reduction, prevention and system improvements and develop recommendations to reduce the number of preventable deaths and improve outcomes for all District residents.     Meetings of the CFRC are closed to the public pursuant to §2-575(b)(1) - law or court order requires that a particular matter or proceeding not be public.
