Redacted Dismissal OOG-2023-0009

On November 30, 2023, Director Allen dismissed this Open Meetings Act complaint against the Department of Forensic Sciences (DFS) because it did not raise issues within the Director’s authority under the Open Meetings Act. DC agencies are not considered public bodies under the Open Meeting Act. The dismissal did not consider or evaluate the merits of the complaint regarding DFS' conduct. The allegations regarding DFS that fell outside of the scope of the Director's authority were referred to another agency for resolution.
