The 21-member Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission was created by the Opioid Litigation Proceeds Amendment Act of 2022 to establish procedures for its operations; make recommendations to the Mayor and Council of District-wide goals, objectives, and performance indicators relating to opioid use disorder prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery, and establish governing principles, policies, and procedures for the application and awarding of grants from the settlement funds. On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 9 am, the Commission will hold a public meeting. The meeting will be held in person at District of Columbia Hospital Association, 1152 15th Street NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005.
