BEGA IT Specialist Position Vacancy

The Office of Open Government, Board of Ethics and Government Accountability (BEGA) is seeking the services of an Information Technology (IT) Specialist. The position is responsible for performing all development and maintenance of BEGA's website content including records, forms applications, graphics which ensures operational functionality of BEGA' s website and online records. The IT Specialist provides service and preventive maintenance activities on terminals, printers, personal computers, which includes reading and comprehending technical service manuals and publications; analyzes and defines data requirements and specifications; analyzes and plans for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements; develops and administers data standards, policies and procedures. Evaluates and provides recommendations on new database technologies and architectures; investigates feasibility of alternative approaches with a view to determining the best balanced solution, i.e that will best satisfy the immediate needs, facilitate subsequent modification, and conserve machine timee; and implements shared software, such as operating systems, configuration, management tools, application and development tools, testing tools compilers and code editors.
