Police and Firemen's Retirement and Relief Board - Non Public
The Police and Firefighters’ Retirement and Relief Board (PFRRB) makes determinations and decisions on all retirement and survivor benefit claims and cases. The Board holds hearing proceedings and executive sessions for such cases and other relief matters concerning members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Secret Service - Uniformed Division, and U.S. Park Police agencies. The Police and Firefighters’ Retirement and Relief Board Support Division schedules, plans and prepares all representation, information, documents, materials, agendas and witnesses for all matters that come before the PFRRB. PFRRB staff process all actions and decisions of the Board; maintain records; write findings of fact and conclusion of Law; and prepare appeal records in all adverse decisions. All PFRRB hearings are closed to the public pursuant to D.C. Official Code §2-575(b)(10).
