On Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the Council of the District of Columbia passed the COVID-19 Response Emergency Amendment Act of 2020, which allows any board, commission, or other public body (collectively referred to as “board”) to waive the board's meeting requirement during the time of a public health emergency, unless otherwise directed by the Mayor. If a board needs to meet during the public health emergency, the board must meet electronically. Attached is a presentation on electronic board meetings during the public health emergency, for quick reference.
