OMA Dismissal #OOG-2023-0004-M (ANC Commission)

The Director of Open Government ("Director") dismissed this Open Meetings Act Complaint because the matters complained of were not within the Director's jurisdiction. The Director does not have authority over ANC meetings because D.C. Official Code § 2-574(3)(F) excludes ANCs from the definition of public bodies. The Director only has statutory jurisdiction over a public body’s meetings when that entity is subject to the OMA.
